Steady-state Buoyancy-driven Viscous Flow with Measure Data

چکیده
Abstract. Steady-state system of equations for incompressible, possibly non-Newtonean of the p-power type, viscous flow coupled with the heat equation is considered in a smooth bounded domain Ω ⊂ n , n = 2 or 3, with heat sources allowed to have a natural L1structure and even to be measures. The existence of a distributional solution is shown by a fixed-point technique for sufficiently small data if p > 3/2 (for n = 2) or if p > 9/5 (for n = 3).

HALL AND LON-SLIP EFFECTS ON MAGNETO-MICROPOLAR FLUID WITH COMBINED FORCED AND FREE CONVECTION IN BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OVER A HORIZONTAL PLATE WITH VISCOUS DISSIPATION
In this paper, we study the effects of Hall and ion-slip currents on the steady magneto-micropolar of a viscous incompressible and electrically conducting fluid over a horizontal plate by taking in to account the viscous dissipation effects. By means of similarity solutions, deviation of fundamental equations on the assumption of small magnetic Reynolds number are solved numerically by using qu...
متن کاملExternal and Internal Incompressible Viscous Flows Computation using Taylor Series Expansion and Least Square based Lattice Boltzmann Method
The lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) has recently become an alternative and promising computational fluid dynamics approach for simulating complex fluid flows. Despite its enormous success in many practical applications, the standard LBM is restricted to the lattice uniformity in the physical space. This is the main drawback of the standard LBM for flow problems with complex geometry. Several app...
متن کاملAn Analytical Approach to the Effect of Viscous Dissipation on Shear-Driven Flow between two parallel plates with Constant Heat Flux Boundary Conditions
An investigation has been made to analyze the effects of viscous dissipation on the heat transfer characteristics for both hydro-dynamically and thermally fully developed, laminar shear driven flow between two infinitely long parallel plates, where the upper plate is moving in an axial direction at a constant speed. On the basis of some routine assumptions made in the literature, a close form a...
متن کاملKatabatic flow along a differentially cooled sloping surface
Buoyancy inhomogeneities on sloping surfaces arise in numerous situations, for example, from variations in snow/ice cover, cloud cover, topographic shading, soil moisture, vegetation type, and land use. In this paper, the classical Prandtl model for one-dimensional flow of a viscous stably stratified fluid along a uniformly cooled sloping planar surface is extended to include the simplest type ...
متن کاملDynamically Supported Trench Topography
A viscous flow model of a subduction zone is used to calculate the near-trench deformation and topography of the overriding plate in response to tectonic and buoyancy forces. The tectonic force, which is associated with global plate motion, arises from subduction of a cold oceanic lithosphere that shears the overriding lithosphere along the contact between the two plates. The buoyancy force ari...
